After months of mulling, India's Cabinet Committee on Security has approved the Space Policy 2023. This new policy encourages private players in activities related to space. This includes building and launching rockets, satellites, and launch vehicles.
The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), which comes under the Department of Space, Ministry of Science and Technology, India, will mediate between ISRO and private entities willing to contribute to space-related activities.
In addition to commercial activities, the Space Policy also aims to provide opportunities for the education sector to work closely with ISRO.
