On May 10, Google will likely dig deep into its leaky box of hardware announcements and launch the Pixel Fold, its first foldable phone. After all, if Samsung did, and so did a ton of Chinese brands, why can't Google — the Daddy of Android – make a foldable phone? Welp, spoiling the party for Google, leaks extraordinaire Evan Blass has leaked marketing renders of the Pixel Fold.

And all it's core specifications, too!

Look. It's a short and stout phone, unlike the tall and sleek Galaxy Fold 4 in your rich uncle's hands. The rear face is lifted from the signature design of the Pixel 7 series, with three cameras and a contrasty look. Acceptable, I'd say. After all, Apple serves you the same design for years, while charging more money each year.

But it's the inner face of the Pixel Fold that raises eyebrows, albeit in a good way. The bezels at the top and bottom are thick as hell, fatter than any foldable phone out there. To imagine that Google will charge around $1,700 (roughly Rs. 138,923) for a phone with such chonky bezels is like asking a million dollars for a Honda hatchback.

But hey, using a foldable phone like a tablet with one hand ain't easy. Those thick bezels should provide some much-needed grip, primarily because you don't want to drop your shiny new Pixel Fold purchased after making a thousand requests to dear Papa!

Here's another benefit. The camera lives inside the bezel, and not underneath the display, the way you get on Samsung's latest foldable phone. That invisible camera on the Samsung phone is great tech, but the selfies it captures look terribly grainy. At least the Pixel Fold won't make your face look like a grainy blob from a 1930s movie.
