Spotify, the world’s biggest music streaming platform, thinks it can convince you to pay more if it also lets you watch music videos. We don’t know if you will need a Premium subscription to watch videos, or whether videos will also be available to freeloaders — with ads — of course!

Bloomberg reports that discussions are underway about bringing music videos to the app, but there is no official confirmation when full-length videos will start appearing in the app or its browser client.

Looking over at the competition, Apple Music has had music videos for quite some time. If you got a YouTube Premium subscription, then you can switch between audio and video versions of a song in the YouTube Music app.

For now, Spotify lets you bop to songs, hear big-brain podcasts, and even listen to audiobooks, if that's your thing.
