The leak monster strikes again. This time, @OnLeaks (and SmartPrix) have dropped design renders based on "a testing stage unit" of the Nothing Phone (2), which arrives in July.
The design is more or less the same transparent affair. You can still see innards like the wireless charging coil through the transparent glass back.
The front face has a clean display aesthetic with a corner cyclop-eye position for the selfie camera, and with uniformly thin bezels on all sides. Or, in the words of Purple Daddy Thanos, "balanced, as everything should be!"
There are some subtle – meaningfully subtle, I'd say, changes. The sides are no longer flat, as the metallic frame now bulges outward. It looks better, but more importantly, it would be a heck lotta more comfortable in your hands.
Trust me, razor-sharp sides of the iPhone 14 really hurt my gentle baby palms. Neat work, Nothing!
The front and rear glass layers are also slightly curved alongside the edges. Nothing has already been confirmed that the Phone (2) will be noticeably more powerful, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor inside.
Nothing Phone (2)'s screen is also slightly bigger, while the battery capacity is a respectable 4,700mAh. This one looks like a far more capable phone than the Phone (1). Let's hope that the price is as eye-catching as the looks. Else, the Chinese smartphone brands are gonna chew this one alive.
Other paraphernalia to be expected include Android 13, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, as per the leak. Considering that Phone (1) also got a 12GB RAM variant, we could see it on the Phone (2) as well. Like the last time, we can also expect to see wireless charging.
Nothing has pegged a July launch for the Nothing Phone (2), which is not too far, so we'll hopefully have the remaining details soon.
